Kenmore water filter 9081 has NSF 42, 53, and 401 certifications. It reduces lead and other metals; chlorine taste and odor; volatile organic compounds (VOCs); and some pesticides and pharmaceuticals.
Water filter 9081 is for select Kenmore side-by-side, bottom-freezer, and top-freezer refrigerators. Replace every 6 months, or more often if water flow slows noticeably.
This filter typically needs to be replaced every 6 months or when the “change filter” indicator light on your refrigerator turns on.

My refrigerator water filters were obscenely priced at over $45 each at Lowes, where I bought the refrigerator. Other online retailers weren't much better at over $50 for a "value" 2-pack. My price at Champoo was only $60 for a 4-pack, including shipping. We really enjoy our filtered water through the refrigerator, and it's great to have the icemaker, but the price for filters was out of control. Thank you Champoo for making water affordable again!
Took a little over a week to get delivery but was in no hurry anyway. Fit perfectly, no leaking, very little if any residue while rinsing after installation. Really made a difference in water pressure at frig door and ice filling was much quicker too. Good price and value so far.
